As an independent consultant I offer 11 years of PhD-level experience in understanding and applying state-of-the-art innovations and technology in fields ranging from neuroscience to econometrics to supply chain dynamics. My capabilities fall into three related categories: 1) providing neuroscience and cognitive science technical expertise; 2) developing and transitioning innovative prototypes; and 3) managing research projects.

Scientific and Technical Expertise
The foundation of my scientific and technical expertise is built upon my BS in Engineering from Caltech, and my Neuroscience PhD from UCLA. I have used this strong technical education to build expertise in the fields of Neuroscience and Cognitive Science. As I've progressed in my career, I've built up a social network of academic and corporate scientists whose expertise I can draw on if needed. My TS/SCI clearances and experience with government-funded research make me a valuable source of advice to government clients.

Prototype Development and Transition
I have developed innovative scientific and business software in multiple scientific and business domains, and assisted in transitioning that technology to large-scale production environments. My real-world experience developing scientific proofs-of-concept and business-critical applications has given me a broad appreciation for the challenges found throughout the technology innovation development life-cycle.

Research Management
I have managed large efforts headed by fully tenured professors from multiple universities on a government-funded cognitive science research effort, and I have independently built and operated a neuroscience imaging laboratory. This previous experience at executing and managing basic science research makes me a strong candidate to manage future projects.

Superior written and oral communication skills underlie and support my consulting capabilities. I have solely prepared client deliverables, marketing briefings, proposals and employee assessments.
