- Scientific and Technical Expertise - The foundation of my scientific and technical expertise is built upon my BS in Engineering from Caltech, and my Neuroscience PhD from UCLA. With this strong technical education, I can understand original source material on a wide variety of topics. I have built upon this core strength to pursue a generalist's career spanning many research areas. As a result, I have the capability to recognize how advances in some fields can be applied to seemingly unrelated problems in others. My TS/SCI clearances and experience with government-funded research make me a valuable source of advice to government clients.
- Prototype Development and Transition - I have developed innovative software in multiple scientific and business domains, and assisted in transitioning that technology to large-scale production environments. My real-world experience developing scientific proofs-of-concept and business-critical applications has given me a broad appreciation for the challenges found throughout the technology innovation development life-cycle.
- Research Management - I have managed efforts headed by fully tenured professors from multiple universities on a government-funded cognitive science research effort. As a post-doctoral researcher, I also started from scratch to build and operate a functional magnetic resonance imaging laboratory. My experience in executing and managing basic science research positions me well to manage future projects.
