- Handweaving -Jean is a handweaver whose creations have been sold in high-end boutiques and craft fairs. She loves working with color and fiber to create unique women's clothing (wearable art) and weavings for the home. She works on a room-sized, white birch Toika loom from Norway.
- Off-road Biking -Biking offroad in Concord, MA and environs is energizing and renewing for Jean. The beautiful New England landscape where three rivers converge has been memorialized by Henry David Thoreau in his writings. The Concord / Lexington area, too, is the "Home of the American Revolution." Jean bikes on the very paths where these historic events took place and where, earlier, Native Americans hunted, fished, and harvested in the Great Meadows.
