- KPMG, LLC - Manager, Data Administration - 12/1995 - 3/1999 - Directed team of up to 16 full-time and contract staff in the design, development and production support of Oracle, Sybase and DB2 data base systems. Budgetary responsibility of $10MM for software license purchasing and maintenance.
Highlights in this position include: replacement of all Sybase and SQL Server data bases with Oracle, creation of the first company-wide knowledge repository and migration of all in-house developed financial and HR systems to PeopleSoft.
- Dun & Bradstreet - Manager Data Base Administration - 9/1986 - 12/1995 - Wide range of progressive responsibilities over a 9-year period. Started as a junior IDMS DBA, and advanced to ultimately manage the full DBA group in this high-volume, technology-driven organization. During this period, life-long habits were formed with respect to data integrity, data base availability, and system-wide performance.
Highlights include: early adopter of the DB2 mainframe environment, introduction of Unix-based data base processing, and the company's Citation Award for delivering a cutting-edge client/server product that yielded $1.5 MM revenue in its first year.
