Sing and perform almost annually in the Washington Christmas Revels and its spring May Fair, sing weekly in St. Anne?s church choir, Reston. Have sung in the Master Chorale of Washington, Reston Chorale, Musica Concordia, other church choirs.

Was a political chat room host for Digital City Washington (DigCDick, DigCPundit) and for grassroots.com. Spent hours and hours online chatting, accumulating an enormous number of really cool friends.

Married to CIA analyst Carolyn Fisher Kovar; father of David, Elspeth and Caroline.

Enjoy traveling abroad, touring Civil War battlefields, canoeing on the C&O Canal, visiting the Washington art galleries and museums, loafing at the beach, eating in good restaurants, drinking martinis.

Love the popular music of the 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s, all kinds of choral music, really good women singers of any kind, good theater, Shakespeare, good movies (but don?t get to see many), enjoy Brahms, Dvorak, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven symphonies and anything by Bach and Mozart, church music, particularly English church music, and Scottish, Irish and Welsh ballads.

Read omnivorously, enjoyed Calvin and Hobbes, Terry and the Pirates, the original Prince Valiant, Sally Forth, Doonesbury, and old Mad Magazines.
