- Pfizer Inc. - Senior Oracle DBA - Participated in evaluating databases for security problems prior to internal
and external audits. Prepared Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for
database installation, configuration, and user security.
Research & Development Environmental Monitoring System (RDEMS
Configured and installed Oracle 9i QA and Production Databases and
Executed Installation Qualification (IQ) procedures for this Validated system.
Data Warehouse. Provide Production, QA, and Development support for several
Oracle 9i databases. Also support the ongoing migration of data warehouse
databases from HP/UX to Sun platforms and the upgrade of Oracle from 8.0
and 8i to 9i. Developed Unix shell scripts to purge log and trace files from the
Unix Database server.
OASIS Web based order entry and management system Provide Production
support for two 8i databases which operate in a high availability INTEL cluster.
Configured Oracle Multi-Master Replication to synchronize the dat
- General Motors - Oracle Consultant - 4/2007 - 10/2007 - Provide technical database support to Sun's on site engineering team to migrate Oracle 9i on HP/UX to Oracle 10g on Solaris 10 / Sun Cluster 3.1 (non RAC). Also act the central point of contact for the on-site Sun team in a multi vendor project team coordinating the activities of several on site vendors in the migration. Vendors include operational DBA's (HP), application DBA's (EDS), storage (EMC).

Electric Utility Outage Management System. The Production environment consists of three Oracle 8.0 databases instances on two Sun ES5500 servers and utilizes the Veritas Cluster Server high availability software for redundancy. This 24x7 mission critical system identifies outage conditions in the electric network, anticipates potential failures, tracks the dispatching of repair crews to damaged facilities, and interfaces with a call response system to provide up to the minute service restoration times to customers.
Administered Production, Development, Test, Training and Disaster Recovery environments.
Enterprise Land Base and Electric Facilities Geo-Databases. These geodatabases utilize two Oracle 8i database instances on a Sun ES5500 server. The geodatabase utilizes the ESRI ArcSDE Server 8.0.2 engine to manipulate electric facilities on the network. This system is a primary interface to the Outage Management System mentioned above.

Enterprise Meter Data Repository This 140 GB database is the enterprise clearinghouse for all PSEG &G electric and gas meter readings as well as readings foom external sources such as water. The system features a "replication" server supported by Veritas Database Replication. This product keeps the backup server in sync with Production on a daily basis.
