Training
Have taken six Cisco training classes covering routing, switching, voice technologies and quality of service; in addition, eight training classes on Microsoft operating systems and products, including Exchange and SQL Server. Also, attended a two-week class on CheckPoint administration.
For several years have pursued an active course of self study centered on TCP/IP based networking, Ethernet technologies, WAN, voice, and, most recently, 802.11 wireless networking and Linux.
Regularly attend Cisco, Microsoft, and other networking vendor's technology and product presentations.
Graduated with honors while earning a Bachelor's degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of California at Berkeley. Received an M.S. and Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University in Cognitive Science. My dissertation topic focused on reaction time investigations of human adult mental number calculations.
