MBO Sponsors HCI Government Forum

Washington, D.C. - The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator that is advancing the science of strategic talent management, announced that it is hosting its first-ever Talent Management Forum for Government, a leadership event for government human capital and personnel leaders and their teams, in Washington, D.C. on Weds., Sept. 17, 2008.

The forum, to be held at Gaylord National Resort Hotel and Convention Center in Prince George's County, Md. on the Potomac River, will bring together human capital professionals who are transforming talent management in their government organizations for a full day of learning and networking, and a high-impact post-forum networking reception. Participants will attend keynote presentations and 90-minute learning sessions that include real-world case studies, practical knowledge and effective strategies.

Keynote speakers at the event include Paul Light, NYU Professor of Public Policy, and Congressman James Moran, 8th Congressional District of Virginia.

"Strategic human capital management and workforce initiatives are top priority for federal government agencies across the United States," said Allen Zeman, President of HCI Government Solutions. "At this HCI forum, created specifically for government organizations, attendees will learn to assess their organization's talent, build a human capital plan that will further the agency's mission, maximize workforce and succession planning efforts, and examine next practices on hiring and retaining a productive, multi-generational workforce. It's an incredible opportunity for government leadership."

HCI's 2008 Talent Management Forum for Government, sponsored by Booz Allen Hamilton, IBM, Vangent and MBO Partners, presents an ideal professional development opportunity for Chief Human Capital and Personnel Officers; Directors of HR, Manpower, Personnel and Training, and HR and Program Managers and Analysts.
