Easy Expenses

MBO Partners allows you to maintain the tax advantages of being an independent consultant, while still enjoying our corporate infrastructure and the ease of doing taxes as a W-2.

Simple Expense Management

As an MBO Associate, you can submit qualified expenses quickly and easily through your secure MyBizOffice account. MBO Partners deducts these expenses from your gross pay before calculating your taxes, then reimburses them with funds from your account. Not only do you get the same tax benefit you would as a 1099 independent, you get it with each paycheck—not just at tax time!

And the best part is that we handle it for you. No more packing away receipts all year, no more time-consuming itemizations on your tax return. Just use your corporate MBO American Express card for automated expense entry into our system for easy tracking, or submit your expenses electronically by fax or email and approve them online.

If your expenses are billable to the client, simply indicate this in the online system and we’ll bill your clients for you with the next invoice.

Medical and Childcare Expenses, Too

Our program isn't limited to business expenses. With MBO Partners, you can submit your out-of-pocket medical expenses, such as costs not covered by insurance, co-pays, secondary insurance premiums, prescriptions, and more (up to $10,000 per year). That means you can write these expenses off without having to meet the IRS's 7.5% of AGI threshold.

Further, you can even submit qualified dependent care expenses, such as day care, elder care, and babysitting (up to $5,000 per year).
