MBO Partners Offers "Contracts 101" Course for Independent Consultants and Freelancers

Dave Putt of MBO Partners will present a one hour online seminar
on negotiating independent consulting contracts. During the session,
participants will examine a sample contract, explore various contract
clauses such as indemnification, non-competes, and intellectual
property, and learn how to successfully negotiate contracts.

Herndon, VA – May 5, 2009 – MBO Partners, the

covering the basics of contracts and contract negotiation for
independent contractors. The interactive session, titled "Contracts 101: Negotiating Agreements in Your Favor," will be presented by Dave Putt, Vice President of Client Services at MBO Partners.

This interactive session will include a review of sample
independent contractor agreements and a walk-through of potential traps
that independent consultants must be aware of including non-competes,
intellectual property, non-disclosure agreements, and indemnification.

Participants will be given a sample contract and glossary of
contracting terms. The event is part of an ongoing series of educational
