MBO Partners Offers "Contracts 101" Course for Independent Consultants and Freelancers

 

Dave Putt of MBO Partners will present a one hour online seminar on negotiating independent consulting contracts. During the session, participants will examine a sample contract, explore various contract clauses such as indemnification, non-competes, and intellectual property, and learn how to successfully negotiate contracts.

The interactive session, entitled "Contracts 101: Negotiating Agreements in Your Favor," will be presented by Dave Putt, Vice President of Client Services at MBO Partners.

Currently, Putt serves on the advisory board for the Human Capital Institute (HCI) and is an active participant in the Contract Talent Research Practice Area at HCI.


This interactive session will include a review of sample independent contractor agreements and a walk-through of potential traps that independent consultants must be aware of including non-competes, intellectual property, non-disclosure agreements, and indemnification.


Participants will be given a sample contract and glossary of contracting terms.
