President & Chief Executive Officer
Gene Zaino, an accomplished and nationally recognized expert in the contract workforce market, launched MBO Partners to re-invent the way independent consultants and organizations work together. Zaino is a major force in the development of best practices for independent consultant engagement tools that support workplace independence.
Gene is an avid entrepreneur who graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Economics (BSE). After four years with KPMG Peat Marwick as a CPA and management consultant, he spent 20 years building various consulting companies, some funded by financial luminaries Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Austin Ventures, and Goldman Sachs.
He served on the expert advisory board for the Human Capital Institute and collaborated with other industry leaders to create and develop the Contract Talent Research Practice Area at HCI, furthering education, ethics, and industry best practices. Zaino has led executive seminars at the Project Management Institute, the Institute for Supply Management, and the Military Officers Association of America. He is also a member of Staffing Industry Analyst's "Hall of Fame" and has been on all five Staffing Industry 100 lists. He is a frequent speaker and has appeared in publications, radio and television including CNN, CNBC, Forbes, Harvard Business Review and The Wall Street Journal.

Chief Operating Officer
Dave joined MBO in 2010. He is responsible for keeping clear and regular communication across corporate business units as well as implementing efficient processes, infrastructure and resource allocations.
Before joining MBO, Dave worked at Aon Consulting and Parsons Group as a leader customizing and implementing human capital and financial solutions for large global enterprises.
A certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Dave served as both treasurer and secretary on the Board of Directors of the Society of Human Resources Management (Mega chapter). With more than fifteen years of experience, Dave graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Eastern Michigan University.

Vice President, Sales Strategy & Operations
Tim joined MBO Partners in 2018 and is responsible for the company’s sales operations strategy.
Tim has more than two decades of professional experience in the sales and sales operations space, most recently with Symmetrics Group, a sales performance consulting and training firm, where he served as a Vice President. Previously, he served as Managing Director for Twenty Eighty Strategy Execution, a workforce development and consulting firm. He has also held key sales and consulting roles at Avendra, LLC and Oracle. Tim holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and an undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester.

Vice President, Solutions Design
John Dahlberg joined MBO Partners in early 2016 as Vice President, Solutions Design. John leads the Solutions Design and Delivery Team and is responsible for the integration and delivery of MBO’s comprehensive suite of independent workforce engagement solutions to enterprise clients and strategic partners. John is a seasoned industry veteran and is focused on expanding MBO’s role as a keystone component of enterprise talent ecosystems.
John has close to two decades of experience in the contract workforce industry and is an expert at empowering workforce management strategies with technology solutions. His diverse background ranges from IT leadership to finance management to global workforce strategy. John is also highly experienced in Vendor Management Systems (VMS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems and the application of technology in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) solutions. Prior to joining MBO Partners, John served as Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture at Allegis Global Solutions and worked closely with Fortune 500 companies to design MSP, RPO and SOW solutions.

Senior Vice President, Client Solutions
Bob joined MBO Partners in 2015 and is a Senior Vice President, Client Solutions.
Bob has more than 25 years of experience in the contract workforce industry and has been recognized for leadership as one of Supply and Demand Chain Executive’s “Pros to Know.” Previously, he directed sales and business development for Adecco and Kelly Services. Bob has also served in executive management roles for both vendor management service and managed services provider organizations. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President of Business Development of the #1 provider of financial, operational and strategic support to independent staffing firms.

Chief Financial Officer
Chris Mack joined MBO Partners as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2017. In this role, he oversees MBO’s finance team, bringing his nearly 30 years of accounting experience through improved financial management, budgeting, and metrics.
Mack joins MBO after serving as President, COO and CFO over a nine-year tenure at Apptix, a Herndon-based business communications and managed services company that provides solutions to several hundred thousand users across both small businesses and Fortune 500 companies.
Mack previously held several financial and senior executive roles at businesses in the healthcare and software industries. Mack also brings international expertise to MBO, including work in Europe, India and the Pacific Rim. He also has extensive security and compliance experience through work in high-volume transactional businesses.
A Certified Public Accountant, Mack has a BS in Accounting from Shepherd University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has also been nominated for CFO of the Year awards by several organizations and publications, including the Washington Business Journal and Northern Virginia Technology Council.

SVP, Connect and Direct Business
Linda Mann joined MBO in 2017 as the Senior Vice President of the MBO Connect and Direct business units.
Prior to joining MBO, Mann spent seven years as a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where she was responsible for leading several enterprise-wide initiatives. Notably, Mann oversaw the design, development, and launch of the PwC Talent Exchange, a marketplace connecting top independent talent with work opportunities at PwC. Before PwC, Mann spent 15 years as a management consultant.
Mann has several degrees in the field, including: a BS in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona; an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Leuven in Belgium; and, an MBA in Marketing and International Business from the University of Chicago.

Chief Talent Officer
Amy has been with the MBO Partners since 2001 and is responsible for the company’s talent acquisition and organizational development.
Amy previously served as the VP of Client Services, where she managed the support of MBO’s Associates and the development of human capital programs to meet the unique needs of the business.
Amy has more than 20 years of experience in talent management, including serving as the VP of Recruiting for The Netplex Group and VP of HR for Sentient Systems. She received her Master of Industrial Psychology from Old Dominion University and her Bachelor of Psychology from the California University of Pennsylvania.

Vice President, Finance
Kim has been with MBO since 2000. She is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including cash management/treasury, financial statement preparation and reporting, audits/tax returns and budgeting.
Kim has more than 25 years of experience in corporate finance and has served in various financial executive roles. Prior to joining MBO, Kim served as the CFO & VP Finance for Template Software and was involved in the due diligence of several major acquisitions, as well as the company’s $40 million IPO.

Senior Vice President, Client Solutions
John Piazza joined MBO Partners in 2015 as the Senior Vice President, Client Solutions. In this role, John oversees the design and delivery of MBO’s enterprise client and partner programs, deploying MBO’s comprehensive suite of independent workforce solutions to our enterprise clients as well as building programs that integrate our products with the leading talent management and procurement solutions providers. John is an industry thought leader and works closely with the analyst community to insure that MBO remains at the forefront of innovating the independent workforce.
A strategic and entrepreneurial executive, Piazza brings nearly two decades of experience in the contract workforce industry. Prior to MBO, John was Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Payroll and Independent Contractor Compliance Services unit of Randstad Sourceright and held leadership positions at Randstad as President and COO of Global Managed Services which provided global MSP, Statement-of-Work (SOW), Payroll and RPO services to Fortune 500 companies.

Vice President, Product Development
Julian, a technical strategist and architect, specializes in the consumer-facing digital world.
Before joining MBO Partners, Julian held several roles at Gannett, managing transformative, enterprise-wide programs and leading two different award-winning teams. Most recently, Julian was the Director of Product Management for Mobile Applications. In this role, he was responsible for more than 450 mobile apps serving millions of unique visitors per month, including launching USA TODAY’s wearable apps on Apple Watch and Android Wear.

Vice President, Marketing
Kris Stevens joined MBO Partners in 2015 and is responsible for the company’s marketing and public relations.
Kris has more than 20 years of experience in marketing, brand strategy and customer retention for some of the world’s most well-respected brands, including MTV Networks, AOL, Capital One and Discovery Communications in both domestic and international capacities. She founded a strategic marketing firm, BrandAlchemy LLC, and was an independent marketing consultant for a number of years. Most recently, she was Associate Vice President of Strategic Enrollment Management at University of Maryland University College.
Kris earned her Bachelor of Broadcasting & Film from Boston University and a Professional Masters of Banking from Louisiana State University.
