Hot Links is running in lieu of our regularly scheduled content during this holiday week. The Weekly Independent will return on January 4, 2016.
As 2015 winds to a close, we can’t help but pause and say wow, what a whirlwind year. Internally, we had the hiring growth since our inception in 1986, and launched some exciting new service initiatives debuting January 1, 2016, MBO Corporate Services and MBO Business Services.
We look forward to bringing you even more of what you’ve come to expect from MBO in 2016. But as we get ready to move forward, we thought we’d take a quick minute and look back, reflecting on some of our top content of the year and giving you a chance to take a look at some things you may have missed.
In addition to launching a brand new website in September, we continued to make improvements to many of our most-loved tools and features in 2015, including updates to our industry-leading bill rate calculator.
You’ll also find new apps, like our product for mobile time and expense reporting on iOS and Android devices.
The 2015 State of Independence in America, the fifth year of our industry leading study, proved that the independent workforce is growing steadily, with 45% of the private, non-farm workforce expected to be independent by 2020. See the highlights in this two-minute video.
We brought you many exciting discussions about the future of work as well – some of our most popular webinars included looks at authentic ways to build a consulting practice, a look at how technology is changing the workforce, and ways to leverage independent contractors to win the talent war.
Many independent professionals using our website are seeking tools, tips and techniques to make the transition to independence easier or to improve their existing business practices. These resources remain among our most popular:

Should you have any questions, we’re always here for you, and would love to hear your thoughts on what you want to see more of in 2016.
Of course, we’d love to talk virtually as well. Share your thoughts with us at MBO Partners on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. The Weekly Independent will be back next week!
