Why do I need to set up a profile?
Hiring managers review profiles when considering applicants for their opportunities. It serves as your resume and is the first information managers see in your response. Maintaining an up-to-date and complete profile increases your likelihood of being selected for an opportunity.
How do I build my profile?
You can upload your resume during the registration process by dragging it into the designated area found on the registration page. Our profile builder will extract key information in order to build a completed profile. Make sure click “Publish” located at the top and bottom of the page once you have finished making any additional updates and completing all required fields.
How do I manage my profile?
Manually edit your profile within “Profile Settings.” To find “Profile Settings,” click or tap "My Account" located on the top bar and select “Profile.” Make sure you click “Save” once you finish making changes to each section.
Who can see my profile?
Only hiring managers at current and previous clients, as well as hiring managers for opportunities to which you’ve previously responded, can view your profile

“Opportunities” is a listing of available opportunities that match the skills, title, and experience listed in your MBO marketplace profile. Opportunities are displayed in order of relevance to your profile.
How do I apply to an opportunity?
Simply click or tap “I'm Interested” on the opportunity page. This signals your interest in the opportunity to the hiring manager.
An opportunity has a "negotiable" rate. What does this mean?
An opportunity with a rate labeled as “Negotiable” means you can discuss compensation details with the hiring manager. Contact the hiring manager directly with the marketplace's messaging feature or by one of the other contact options listed in the posting.
How do I know if the hiring manager is interested in me?
Either contact the hiring manager directly with the marketplace's messaging feature once you have responded or by one of the other contact options listed in the posting to request a status update or feedback. The hiring manager will also reach out to you to express their interest in your candidacy if you might be a match.
How do I know if I've won an opportunity?
If you are selected, you will receive an email and notification within the system that you have won the project. Similarly, the marketplace will send you a system notification if the opportunity closes after being awarded to someone else.
What happens after I'm accepted for an opportunity?
An MBO Partners Enrollment Manager or Business Manager will contact you to set up the work order and complete onboarding, if applicable.
Is responding and getting accepted the same as signing a contract?
No. You still need to create and sign a Statement of Work (SOW).
When do I negotiate and sign a contract or statement of work?
Negotiate and sign a contract or SOW directly with the hiring manager. This typically happens right as the project is awarded. You can use the marketplace's messaging feature, or any other method listed in the posting, to contact the hiring manager.
