Greg Miller is the Principal Executive for Hayland Advisors LLC, a vehicle he launched for management consulting activities, board advisory work, start-up company mentoring, and private equity and angel investing. With 20+ years of leadership experience across a variety of industries in both corporate and consulting settings, Greg has worked with all organizational scales from large multi-national to smaller local companies and helped them solve business problems.
Previously, Greg served as an executive with Blue Cross Blue Shield, a national provider of health insurance products and services. He managed a range of teams and responsibilities across IT and Shared Services organizations including IT strategy, IT CFO, global strategic sourcing, contingent worker management, program management office, budgeting, vendor management, service quality assurance, and others.
Greg also worked at Deloitte Consulting. In the Strategy & Operations practice, he served Fortune 100 clients across a variety of industries including Healthcare, Finance, Consumer Retail, Energy, and Manufacturing. Projects included strategic planning, operational assessments, process reengineering, customer experience reviews, business analysis and research, and cost reduction. Prior to this he worked at Ameriprise Financial, formerly a division of American Express and held a number of operational roles in Investments, Insurance Operations, Information Technology, Audit and Corporate Finance.
Greg has presented at numerous conferences and hosted industry forums. He has a B.S. in Finance and Economics from the University of Minnesota, an MBA from the University of North Carolina and has achieved CFA and ITIL professional designations amongst other educational pursuits. Greg actively supports a variety of non-profit organizations and charity events through Board Advisory work and donor funding.
