Warner Music Group and MBO Partners engage independent workers safely and efficiently.
01 Non-employee engagement instructions
- If you need a non-employee AND recruiting help:
Connect with your HR Generalist to discuss the options. (Is this a true temporary need? Should this person be onboarded through MBO, Robert Half, Millennium Group, etc.?) If the decision is to hire a Non-Employee through MBO, complete a Non-Employee Request Form. The submitted electronic form will route first to the Department Head and then to the Finance Head for approval. The recruiter, Eric Di Monte, will then receive the request and connect with you for an intake meeting. - If you have identified a new non-employee on your own:
As above, connect with your HR Generalist to discuss your options. If the decision is to hire the worker through MBO, complete this Non-Employee Request Form. In doing so:- Select "Yes" for "Has the resource been identified?"
- Include the worker's name, phone number, and email address.
- Select "Yes" for "Send to MBO."The submitted electronic form will route first to the Department Head and then to the Finance Head for approval.
Upon approval, MBO manages the resource's onboarding process and will notify you when complete. Please note that the onboarding process may take several days and varies by the resource's responsiveness to the steps in the process. Also note that the resource will not start billing until onboarding is complete.
02 Ongoing administration
You will receive an email from MBO each week with your consulting resources' time/expense submissions. Using the links in the email, approve or reject the submissions as appropriate by COB each Monday.
03 MBO's engagement services
MBO directs Warner Music-referred contractors into one of three engagement services depending on their characteristics, expectations, and business qualifications:
- Vendor services, a business-to-business engagement service for independent professionals who meet Warner Music's criteria to engage as qualified vendors. Independent professionals interested in engaging through Vendor Services must pass a qualification evaluation during the onboarding process. MBO invoices Warner Music for approved time/expense submissions and pays contractors upon receipt of Warner Music's payment.
- Business services, a unique engagement alternative for independent professionals who wish to work as compliant independent business owners (LLCs or corporations) but need assistance meeting and maintaining the appropriate credentials to do so. Independents engaged through Business Services enjoy the freedom and flexibility of operating an independent business at less cost and with less administration than doing it alone.
- Payroll services, a conventional W-2 payrolling solution for hourly workers who do not consider themselves true independent business practitioners. Note that overtime applies; as a result, you must accommodate for anticipated overtime costs in your Purchase Order. MBO pays workers weekly from the onset of their assignments.
