MBO UK: Contractor Engagement Guide

Use this form to refer independent workers into the program. Your request will route to your business unit's sourcing lead, who will forward it to MBO Partners within three business days. MBO will manage the onboarding process and contact you and the sourcing lead with final charge rate information. MBO will also notify you when the worker is ready to begin the project.

PAYE Contractors (payroll) - PAYE contractors will email you each week for approval of hours provided and cc in their MBO Payroll Manager. Please respond "to all" addressed on this email, approving or raising any relevant queries.

Independent Contractors (Vendors) - operating via a Limited Company are responsible for the successful delivery of their services outside of the control of your personnel. MBO will provide an invoice based on the services provided by the Vendor. As the stakeholder responsible for the Vendor you will be required to review the services and or deliverables and approve the invoice once satisfied they meet the agreed expectations. Payment will not be released by your company until this process is completed.

MBO directs your referred independents into one of two engagement services depending on their characteristics, expectations, and business qualifications:

• Vendor Services, a business-to-business engagement service for independent contractors who meet this criteria to operate in this manner. The independent contractor will be delivering project or consultancy based services, with limited input from your stakeholders. Independent contractors interested in engaging through Vendor Services must pass a qualification evaluation during the onboarding process, and the stakeholder responsible for the engagement must adhere to the polices outlined in your Vendor Engagement Policies link.

• Payroll Services, a conventional payrolling solution provided by MBO for hourly or daily workers who do not consider or wish to operate themselves as true independent contractors.
