CACI partners with MBO to source, evaluate, classify, and manage all independent workers (contractors, consultants, 1099s, freelancers, etc.). MBO not only offers CACI the most effective engagement vehicle available, but also provides an extremely high level of service and support to the independents delivering the services. This frees up your workers to focus more completely on CACI's projects. As a result, MBO's services appeal to both sides of the consulting equation.
01 Engaging independent workers
If you already know the worker you wish to engage: Notify your designated Buyer/SCA or CACI's Corporate Procurement Team (see below). This team will coordinate the onboarding process with MBO and notify you when the worker is ready to begin the project.
If you do not already have someone in mind: MBO can help source independent talent for your projects. Email the following to cacipmo@mbopartners.com:
- Your name, title, email, and phone number.
- The position's title, estimated pay range, key skill requirements, location(s) / remote, estimated project duration (start and end dates), and security clearance (if required).
MBO will then recruit, screen, and submit vetted candidates for your review and selection.
NOTE: MBO has expertise identifying talent in key area skill densities including defense, recruiting, policy / government / international, IT infrastructure, DoD contract management, project / program management, business analysis, marketing, and more.
Also note that a 15% sourcing fee applies for successful placements, which is in addition to the standard engagement service fees.
02 About MBO Partners
MBO Partners is the leading deep jobs platform that makes it easier for enterprises like CACI and top independent professionals to work together. MBO's innovative solutions enable organizations and talent to thrive in the independent economy.
Established in 1996, MBO is GSA-certified, ISO 9001-certified, supports government contracts, and has passed all annual SOC audits. In some cases, MBO may also help your B&Ps / RFPs qualify for NAICS small business credit.
03 Federal B&P/RFP support
MBO makes it easy to engage independent talent on Federal contracts. Email RFPs / RFQs to caci@mbopartners.com along with the worker's pay rate (if pre-ID) and response due date. Also indicate any other required information (e.g., Teaming Agreement, Cost Narrative, LCAT's, Reps & Certs requirements, Organizational Conflict of Interest, NDA, Cyber Security requirements, cover letter requirements, etc.). Please allow two business days for pricing-only requests and five business days for requests requiring additional information.
04 Talent sourcing support
If you do not already have a contractor in mind, MBO's Independent Talent Network team can help.
CACI's dedicated ITN Team Manager will work with you to attract and hire from the pool of 130,000 Talent inside of MBO's marketplace. This Fortune 500-proven Talent exists across 18 skill domains and over 112 specialties, including cyber security, cloud engineering, software engineering, recruiting, federal proposal support, and DoD contract management. Note that a small sourcing fee applies for successful placements (15%), which is in addition to MBO's standard engagement service fees. This combined fee is still a fraction of the cost of working with traditional staffing suppliers.
Sourcing process: When you need MBO's help finding a contractor for a role, email Jordan Pumpelly at jpumpelly@mbopartners.com with:
-
- Your name, title, email, and phone number.
-
- The position's title, estimated pay range, key skill requirements, location(s) / remote, estimated project duration (start and end dates), and security clearance (if required).
Your ITN Team Manager will follow up to finalize the details of the role and then begin the process of recruiting, screening, and submitting vetted Talent for your review. For most roles, MBO's ITN team can deliver high-quality talent in 72 hours or less. You simply select the candidate which best matches your needs and we will then initiate our standard onboarding process.
05 MBO's engagement services
MBO directs CACI-referred independents into one of three engagement services depending on their characteristics, expectations, and business qualifications:
- Vendor Services: A business-to-business engagement service for independent professionals who meet CACI's criteria to engage as qualified vendors. Independent professionals interested in engaging through Vendor Services must pass a qualification evaluation during the onboarding process. MBO invoices CACI for approved time/expense submissions and pays vendors upon receipt of CACI's payment.
- Business Services: A unique engagement alternative for independent professionals who wish to work as compliant independent business owners (LLCs or corporations) but need assistance meeting and maintaining the appropriate credentials to do so. Independents engaged through Business Services enjoy the freedom and flexibility of operating an independent business at less cost and with less administration than doing it alone.
- Payroll Services: A conventional W-2 payrolling solution for hourly workers who do not consider themselves true independent business practitioners.
