Today's enterprise talent market is competitive. Too often we forget that the individuals themselves-independent professionals-bear the greatest brunt of inevitable change. At MBO, we create solutions that give enterprises the tools they need to remain competitive while simultaneously empowering independents to be successful.

About Gene

Gene Zaino, an avid entrepreneur and nationally recognized expert in the next way of working, launched MBO Partners to reinvent the way independent consultants and organizations work together. He's a passionate advocate for the independent workforce movement, and is committed to developing the best practices and engagement tools that support workplace independence.

After graduating cum laude and receiving a Bachelor of Science in Economics (BSE) from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business, Gene spent four years with KPMG Peat Marwick as a CPA and management consultant, and then 20 years building various consulting companies - including some funded by financial luminaries Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Austin Ventures, and Goldman Sachs.

Gene has served on the expert advisory board for the Human Capital Institute, collaborated with other industry leaders to create the Contract Talent Research Practice Area at HCI (furthering education, ethics, and industry best practices), and has led executive seminars at the Project Management Institute, Staffing Industry Analysts, the Institute for Supply Management, and the Military Officers Association of America.

In addition to being a member of the Staffing Industry Analyst's "Hall of Fame," Gene has been on all five Staffing Industry 100 lists, is an in- demand speaker, and has appeared on CNN and CNBC, as well as in Forbes, Harvard Business Review, and The Wall Street Journal.
