About Mick

Michelle (Mick) Lee joined MBO Partners as Chief Administrative Officer in 2023.

Most recently, Mick served as Managing Director, Global Head of Corporate Services and Employee Engagement at BNY Mellon, where she was responsible to consolidate, manage and transform programs, develop governance, corporate policies and procedures, and align targets and business plans for Travel, Executive + Employee Dining, Reception + Catering, Mail + Distribution Services and Accounts Payable for 55K employees in more than 60 countries.

A Citibank, Credit Suisse and CIBC alum, Mick has more than 20 years of progressive international management experience with a primary focus on talent optimization, operational excellence, communications and expense management roles across corporate services.  She has lived and worked in New York, Texas, Toronto and the U.K. and is a results oriented and passionate senior leader with a proven track record of building and transforming global businesses and driving profitable results, managing $5b+ and leading over 5,000 staff in more than 100 countries. Her approach is complemented by the critical ability to influence peers and balance spend reduction with required service levels, risk mitigation and talent optimization.

At each financial institution where Mick has worked, she has served in leadership roles for their women’s leadership organizations, channeling her passion for gender equity, and has been recognized as an award winning and sought after speaker across the diversity, procurement and hospitality sectors.

Additionally, in January 2014, Mick founded WINiT, a nonprofit organization of women and men focused on career development, visibility and promotion of women in the hospitality industry – the first of its kind at the time.  In August 2018, Mick sold the WINIT organization to GBTA.org, globalizing the organization and ensuring the goal to achieve gender parity in the hospitality industry would continue for years to come.  Mick serves as the Chair of WINiT today, where she continues to mentor women, and she serves on the boards of both GBTA and Travel + Leisure magazine.  She is a longstanding corporate advisory board member to top industry commercial airlines and hotels.
