 Right now, a great deal of the workforce is working remotely. Just so you get an idea, before COVID, according to data from enterprise solution company MBO Partners, there were more than 4.8 million digital nomads.

Digital nomads travel the country or the world while using technology to still make an income. But for them to be successful, they have to be work-oriented and disciplined enough to keep to a schedule in a tempting vacation setting.

The Covid-19 pandemic, and the prior increase of co-working and co-living spaces, have accelerated the use of remote work as a leading trend across industries. A study conducted by MBO Partners revealed that the amount of American digital nomads has grown by 49% to a total of 10.9 million people since 2019.

Costa Rica has become an ideal destination for foreigners who choose to work remotely, highlighting digital nomads from Chile, Portugal, and the United States who have lived and worked from here, some for periods of months and in other cases for a year.

According to a study conducted by MBO Partners, some 17 million people in the U.S. aspire to be digital nomads. Here’s what employers should consider when employees are on the go to ensure that productivity isn’t interrupted. 

A US survey conducted last summer by MBO Partners estimated digital nomads in the country increased by 49 per cent year on year to almost 11 million people, accounting for about 7 per cent of the US labour force.
